Sprinkler Head Leaking at the Base

Water leaking at the base of a sprinkler head is different from water leaving the nozzle. It may be a loose or cracked connection, failed seal, movement in the riser, or pressure that appears only while running.

Symptoms to compare

• Water bubbles where the body meets the soil or fitting.
• The leak appears only during the run cycle.
• The head leans, wobbles, or sits below grade.
